How to get relief from Muscle Cramps?

Every body might have experienced the unbearable pain of muscle cramps. It occurs when your muscles contract in involuntary manner and causes pain. Your various body parts like back of thighs, calf, feet, arms, abs and hands can get affected due to muscle cramps.

You should do warm up exercise before intensive workout like doing some stretching exercise that makes your muscle ready for intensive workout. Let your body cool down after exhausting workout. Drink plenty of water to hydrate your body while engaging in sports.

Stretching : Do some stretching before going to sleep because some annoying muscle cramps can attack at night. Stretching helps you to prevent from such muscle cramps. Many pregnant women also suffer from muscle cramps. They can prevent it by taking supplements of calcium and magnesium with advice of the doctor. They can also take Vitamin E to prevent the condition of muscle cramps.

Gentle massage for quick relief : By massaging gently the muscle with cramps can provide you quick relief. You can also get relief by gently holding the stretched muscles till its pain abate. Take rest for few minutes and stop the activity which causes pain can give you some sort of relief from muscle cramps.
